K. REED, P.E. B.S.
Civil Engineering (Honors), 1987 Mr. Reed has over 20 years of professional experience as an Engineer working predominantly with civil and environmental design. Project experience includes storm water management, erosion control, hydrogeologic/hydraulic analysis, landfill design, landfill permitting, geosynthetic lining and cover systems, landfill leachate control, slope stability analysis, and construction quality assurance (CQA). In addition, his experience has included review of hydrogeologic and geotechnical evaluations; soil, leachate, and gas management; research and development; staff engineers/technicians supervision and training; and state/federal waste regulations review. Mr. Reed has served as Program Manager of landfill design projects for a major private company in the southeast/southwest U.S., where his work encompassed technical oversight, client management, and project management of design projects for approximately 35 to 40 landfills in those regions. In addition, Mr. Reed served as Program Manager providing engineering design for gas collection systems, and solid waste and air quality permitting for a leading landfill gas to energy developer. ROY MURRAY, P.E. BSCE 1985 Mr. Murray has over 22 years experience in civil and environmental permitting, design and construction, including municipal solid waste landfills and associated systems, liner systems, leachate collection systems, utilities, roadways, hydrologic analysis and hydraulic design including open channel systems, storm drainage pipe systems, culverts, bridges, basins, and other systems for the conveyance and control of stormwater. Mr. Murray also has extensive experience in landfill design and construction having served for several years as a consultant preparing landfill expansion permit applications. Mr. Murray also served as an engineer for several landfill facilities in Texas. Responsibilities included project management of permit amendments and modifications, compliance and construction. JEAN WILSON Associate
Degree Civil Engineering Technology, 1988 Ms. Wilson has over 19 years of experience in the area of environmental engineering. Her expertise involves the maintenance of quality assurance and ensuring projects are within permit requirements, generation of proposals, management of staff scheduling, budgets, coordination of quality assurance activities and preparation of construction quality assurance documentation. Ms. Wilson also assists in preparing permit amendments, permit expansions as well as generating construction plans, specifications and bid packages. Ms. Wilson’s solid waste landfill experience includes monitoring, documenting, and testing the installation of over 30 million square feet of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane, geosynthetic clay liner, and associated geosynthetics. Ms. Wilson has been responsible for the testing and sampling soil liner materials during construction; monitoring the installation of leachate collection systems, methane collection systems, force main systems; and grade documentation. Her surveying experience includes construction and grade staking. In addition, Ms. Wilson has gained extensive, hands-on experience in a geotechnical laboratory. She is familiar with ASTM procedures concerning testing and inspection of soil, concrete, and asphalt. Her involvement with soils includes determining moisture/density relationships, Atterberg limits, sieve and hydrometer analysis, and permeability testing. J. MYERS BSCET
(Construction Engineering Technology), 1979 Mr. Myers has over 25 years of experience in municipal solid waste management. He served as Solid Waste Program Manager with the Texas Department of Health from 1980 to 1990, being responsible for the implementation of the State’s regulations for over 150 landfills. He conducted field investigations of unauthorized solid waste disposal activities, and of Small Quantity Generator Hazardous Waste facilities. Mr. Myers served as Landfill Manager for a major private landfill company for two years and as Landfill Environmental Manager for four years with the same company. He has been an environmental consultant for the past several years specializing in compliance management, environmental audits and monitoring, and safety training.
